Spa policies
Please review our guidelines before booking to ensure a safe, relaxing, and effective experience.
General information
Atmosphere
To maintain our serene environment, we kindly ask that you do not bring children into the spa. Clients 16 and older may enjoy certain services when accompanied by an adult, who must also sign the consultation form. Please silence cell phones and keep voices soft to help preserve the relaxing space.
Arrival time
For first-time visits, please arrive 15 minutes early to complete intake forms (unless submitted online). Treatments begin and end on time, so late arrivals may shorten your service, though you may still be charged in full.
Jewelry & valuables
Please leave valuables at home whenever possible. Estheem is not responsible for lost or damaged items.
Booking & deposits
Reservations
Appointments are reserved exclusively for you. New client appointments require a deposit of 15–50%, depending on the service.
Cancellation policy
We require at least 48 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule. Please text 707-271-7101 for changes. Canceling within 48 hours, failing to show, or reducing your booked services at the last minute is considered a “No Show/Late Cancellation.”
Late arrivals
Arriving late will shorten your treatment time so we can remain on schedule, but you will still be charged for the full service.
Future bookings
After a no-show or late cancellation, prepayment of up to 100% of your service may be required to reserve future appointments.

Facial pre & post-peel guidelines
One week before your peel
- Stop using topical prescriptions or products with Retinol, Vitamin A, or similar ingredients.
- Avoid waxing, electrolysis, depilatory creams, and laser treatments.
- Minimize sun exposure, both indoor tanning and natural sunlight.
- Avoid Botox, fillers, or other treatments unless advised by your provider.
Day of your peel
- Do not use AHA, BHA, or benzoyl peroxide.
- Avoid scrubs and exfoliating products.
- Do not shave or dermaplane on the same day.
After your peel
- Use only post-care products recommended by your esthetician.
- Avoid heat, sweating, vigorous exercise, saunas, and hot tubs.
- Cleanse with warm water only — no scrubbing.
- Expect flaking or shedding 2–5 days post-treatment; do not pick at the skin.
- Avoid sun exposure and wear physical zinc-only SPF daily.
- Avoid glycolic acid, retinol, Retin-A, shaving, tanning, waxing, injections, or chemical hair services for 7–10 days.
Waxing & sugaring guidelines
Waxing
Waxing is another semi-permanent method of hair removal. Hair must be at least ¼ inch long to ensure proper removal. We regret that waxing cannot be performed on clients using Accutane, Retin-A, or antibiotics, as these products increase skin sensitivity.
Sugaring
Sugaring is a natural form of semi-permanent hair removal practiced for centuries. Our formula combines sugar, prebiotics, and gluconolactone to create a paste that is gentle on the skin microbiome. For best results, hair must be at least ⅛ inch long.
HaloSauna
Clothing/Comfort
Clothing options are dependent on your actual selection of Modalities. If your primary focus is dry salt therapy, no/low heat, wearing your clothes is a fine option. If your goal is detoxification, we recommend 100% organic cotton underwear. All of our linens are 100% organic cotton. For red light therapy we recommend as little clothing as you feel comfortable, at the very least, exposing your main areas of focus.
Prolonged sauna use
If you have a membership and/or are going to be utilizing the sauna for high heat, it is recommended that you wear a felt hat for protection. It helps to insulate the head/scalp, preventing overheating, dizziness, and headaches. By keeping the head cooler while the body heats up, it allows for longer, more comfortable and safer use. It also prevents your hair from drying out.
We also recommend replenishing your body with electrolytes, not just plain water. We will provide you with a serving of electrolytes after a detox sauna session. This is crucial to replace sodium, potassium, and magnesium lost through sweat, helping to prevent dizziness, fatigue and dehydration. We serve Salt Head brand electrolytes and have it available for purchase upon request ($39 +tax).
